These are some of the highest elevation coffees grown near the town of Yirgacheffe. When it comes to washed Yirgacheffes, we generally look for those that exude the strongest characteristics of the classic lemon, bergamot & jasmine profile. For exotic profiles that play toward different fruit tones and floral nuances, we generally look to natural processed Ethiopian coffees. That said, this coffee exudes the hallmark characteristics of a beautiful Yirgacheffe. If you haven't tried this coffee, it's a definite must, a good Yirgacheffe is one of the most quintessential coffees on earth. I prefer this style of coffee in the early afternoon as a pour over, it's great over ice as well (trying making ice cubes with this coffee and then pour a fresh brewed cup over the cubes. . . yum.
